These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between Tech Horizons Club ("THC," "we," "our," or "us") and you, whether you're browsing our site, joining our Discord, registering for workshops, attending hackathons, participating in events, or otherwise using any service we provide (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy.
Tech Horizons Club is a student‐led organization operating under the legal name Tech Horizons Club.

1. OUR SERVICES
THC is a student-led tech community that hosts hackathons, speaker events, hands-on workshops, Discord discussions, and related activities intended for educational and networking purposes. We may add, modify, or discontinue any part of the Services at our sole discretion. Access from outside India is at your own initiative and you are responsible for compliance with local laws.
2. ELIGIBILITY & USER ACCOUNTS
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and possess the legal capacity to enter contracts.
- When creating an account or registering for an event, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for false information or rule violations.
3. CODE OF CONDUCT & PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES
You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Harass, defraud, or harm other participants or organizers.
- Upload malware, spam, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system.
- Use scraping, bots, or other automated means to extract data from our Services without permission.
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation.
THC maintains a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, harassment, or abusive behavior. Breaches may result in immediate removal from events and permanent bans.
4. EVENT PARTICIPATION (HACKATHONS, WORKSHOPS, MEET-UPS)
- Registration: Event spots are first-come, first-served. Your place is confirmed only upon receipt of any required fee and our written confirmation email.
- Team Submissions: For hackathons, you warrant that your project is your team's original work or properly licensed.
- Prizes: Prize fulfillment may involve sharing limited information with sponsors (e.g., name, email, shipping address) as necessary.
- Photography & Media: By attending, you consent to being photographed or recorded and grant THC the right to use such media for publicity.
5. TICKETS, PAYMENTS & REFUNDS
All fees are quoted in Indian Rupees unless stated otherwise and are processed through third-party payment gateways. We do not store full card numbers. Refund requests must be emailed to billing@techhorizonsclub.com no later than 7 days before the event; after that, tickets are non-refundable except if we cancel or reschedule. Chargebacks filed without contacting us first may result in account suspension.
6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
All content (logos, text, graphics, code, and event names like "Hack The Vibe" and "INIT()") is owned by THC or its licensors and is protected under Indian IP law. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes. Any unauthorized use may result in civil or criminal penalties.
7. USER-GENERATED CONTENT & LICENCE
By posting or submitting content (code, designs, comments, photos, etc.) through our Services, you grant THC a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to host, reproduce, adapt, publish, and display such content for community and promotional purposes. You retain all moral and ownership rights, subject to this license.
8. DISCLAIMERS & RISK ALLOCATION
THC provides all Services "as is" and "as available."We make no warranties regarding completeness, accuracy, or reliability. Participation in our events may carry inherent risks (e.g., long screen time, travel, cybersecurity). You voluntarily assume all risks and agree THC is not liable for personal injury, property damage, lost profits, data loss, or any indirect damages.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, THC's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services shall not exceed ₹5,000 INR or the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations of liability; in such cases, the above limitation may not apply to you.
10. SUSPENSION & TERMINATION
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct we believe violates these Terms or harms the community. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., IP rights, disclaimers, dispute resolution) shall survive.
11. THIRD-PARTY LINKS & CONTENT
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or resources. THC is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of such sites. Accessing third-party resources is at your own risk.
12. MODIFICATIONS OR INTERRUPTIONS
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services without liability. Scheduled maintenance or unexpected outages may occur. We will strive to give advance notice for major changes but are not obliged to do so.
13. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTE RESOLUTION
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra for any dispute. Before litigation, the parties will attempt in good faith to resolve disputes through a 30-day informal negotiation period.
14. FORCE MAJEURE
THC shall not be liable for delay or failure to perform resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, Internet outages, pandemic restrictions, or government actions.
15. ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS
You consent to receive electronic communications (emails, Discord DMs, notices on our website). These satisfy any legal communication requirement that such communications be in writing.
